During this next period of time while we are all spending time at home, here are some ways that you can stay connected with Community Church:
Church Online – the new home for our online Sunday morning times. As we watch, worship and listen together, you can use the chat function to say “Hi” and to encourage each other. The meetings will then be available on YouTube afterwards.
Church Blog – check here regularly to hear prophetic word and direction from the Core Leadership Team.
Facebook – for general posts about what’s going on and finding encouragement from others. Be liberal in your ‘liking’, ‘sharing’ and encouraging comments to one another from your own homes.
We are doing all that we can to keep ‘meeting’ together at the times that we usually would. These include family hubs, prayer meetings, church family meetings and coffee after the Sunday morning meeting.
Virtual Family Hubs – be encouraged and be an encouragement to others! We are using the Zoom software to help us to keep ‘meeting’ together to share life, word, testimony and to worship and pray together. Contact your Hub leader to obtain a zoom ‘link’ to join the meeting.
Virtual Meetings – corporate prayer times like you’ve never known them before! We are using the Zoom software to facilitate us to keep praying together, stirring one another and hearing from our heavenly Father.
See some popular questions & their answers below, but anything else and just contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our friendly team will get back to you.
How do i use zoom?
a. Download the app – we’ve found it’s best on a laptop but is also available on tablet or phone (be aware on a phone you can only see 4 people at a time).
You can download it from here.
b. Every meeting or series of meetings have a unique ‘link’ or password. You can find links to all of our main church gatherings on Midweek and Weekend News or contact your Family Hub leader for Hub links. Click on the link and then click on ‘Open Meeting’ when prompted. You will often need to accept permission to ‘Join with Video’ and ‘Join with Computer Sound’ before anyone else can see or hear you!
c. Check out these instructions for a brief overview of zoom and what the controls do once you are in the meeting.
How do i find out when the next virtual meeting is?
Look out for Midweek and Weekend News emails to obtain a zoom ‘link’ for upcoming prayer meetings and other gatherings. If you have not already subscribed to our Midweek News emails then contact email@example.com to find out how you can!
l've never been in person, can i still join in?
If you’ve never subscribed or joined in with virtual meetings before, please don’t hold back! Get in touch and we can take you through the technology step by step. We are enjoying seeing and encouraging one another and we would love you to join us!
Is there anything for my kids?
Most weeks our Sunday Online gatherings include a kids slot. We also sometimes have kids Zoom events. For more info contact the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org
